GTA V Sells Nearly 52 Million Copies
When you factor in the recent release of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, and add sales from the various other versions of the game that have been released since its launch in the fall of 2013, GTA V has sold almost 52 million copies in all.
That’s the fact that Take-Two Interactive was proud to point out today in their fiscal earnings report, which also mentioned their other flagship series have been doing well too. Their latest in the NBA 2K series sold 7 million copies and their last WWE game sold 3 million. TTI took this opportunity to announce their next WWE game will come to current and last-gen consoles on October 27.
Overall GTA V was the largest contributor to Take-Two’s financial earnings last fiscal year, which earned them a net $219.2 million profit out of gross market earnings equaling $1.669 billion. These figures are actually down from last year’s, but revenue from their digital content is up.
