Psyonix announced today that three new arenas are on the way to Rocket League next month. The standout of this batch is Octagon, a dark arena with an eight-sided perimeter wall. Since it’s a Rocket Labs arena, the visual theme will be VR-related. Octagon will be available for both online and offline Exhibition play.
The other two maps are variations on existing maps, called ”Urban Central (Dawn)” and “DFH Stadium (Stormy)” respectively. They’ll be usable in online and offline play in Exhibition and Private matches, as well as the Ranked Playlists.
We suspect these maps are going to be part of the same update that brings Rumble to Rocket League, and Psyonix says there are still more announcements to come. One thing is for sure: next month is going to be a big one.
