The Most Requested 360 Title On XBox One Is…..

As you might have heard, the XBox One will soon have backwards compatibility with at least a hundred XBox 360 discs. During E3, Microsoft conducted a survey on their website asking gamers which 360 game they want on the One most of all. The unanimous #1 pick? Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption.

Seems most people have a soft spot for the open-world western from last-gen, and regret having to leave it behind. This means Rockstar could probably make a mint from simply republishing the game on current-gen consoles, but I shouldn’t give them ideas. BC would make it free.

RDR was followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops II and then Skyrim. Call of Duty was the most requested series by far at four games in the top ten.

  1. Red Dead Redemption
  2. Call of Duty: Black Ops II
  3. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  4. Halo: Reach
  5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  6. Gears of War 3
  7. Call of Duty: Black Ops
  8. Fallout 3
  9. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  10. Mass Effect 3

If you belong to the preview program, you can try out some 360 games NOW, but only 21 of them currently work, and none of them are Red Dead Redemption. Most happen to be Rare titles, as they had to crack that nut already to get the Rare compilation disc working. If you don’t belong to the preview program, you can currently use the account of a friend who does to unlock the games on your account, but this loophole might not exist for long.
