Need For Speed Heat Patched With Wheel Support

on

Can you believe Need For Speed Heat has gone this long without support for steering wheel controllers? Odd as it may sound, are EA and Ghost Games just getting to it now?

Better late than never, we guess. As of the new patch, Need For Speed Heat will work with the following wheels, if you’ve got ’em:

  • Thrustmaster T300RS (PS4, PC*)
  • Thrustmaster TX (Xbox, PC*)
  • Thrustmaster T150 (PS4, PC*)
  • Thrustmaster TMX (Xbox, PC*)
  • Logitech G29 (PS4, PC*)
  • Logitech G920 (Xbox, PC*)
  • Fanatec CSL Elite Racing Wheel (PS4, PC*, XB1)

The wheel must be connected prior to starting your game, and it must be tied to your user profile. Some PCs may require additional steps.

The patch adds more….like the old emote wheel, which has been reinvented as the Chat Wheel. Those who aren’t using voice chat can hit a button during gameplay to send any of several pre-written phrases like “Hello,” Thanks,” “Follow Me” or “Need Backup.” There are more, we swear.

Also, as of the update, driving through a gas station will remove all scratches accumulated since your last visit. Now it’s easier to keep your ride clean. And available for purchase starting this week is the Keys To The Map item, which will reveal all points of interest in your area, such as collectibles, activities, and gas stations. If you’d rather those things be a surprise, then save your money.

Need For Speed Heat is available now for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC.
