Which Fake Internet Is Larger: GTA V’s Or North Korea’s?
There’s a fake Internet in GTA V that can be accessed from most computers within the game. I’m bringing this up because today, for a brief period the impenetrable firewall surrounding North Korea’s secluded Internet went down, and before it could be raised back up, a Redditor chronicled everything that could be seen there.
Unless you’re cheating, you can only access websites within Kim Jong-Un’s walls that he wants you to access — entirely websites made within the nation itself. According to the list these include:
- “Friend,” NK’s version of social media;
- “Korean Dishes,” a website for recipes;
- The “Korean People Total Insurance Company,” which I’m guessing is the only insurance company there;
- A couple of educational sites,
- And surprisingly, more than one news website exists, though none are located outside the nation.
All in all the North Korean internet is comprised of just 28 websites. The Internet in GTA V has 84 websites. Therefore, the Internet in GTA V is superior, with much more robust content and information.
