Burnout Paradise Remastered On PS4 And XBox One

on

Remember the classic open-world racer Burnout Paradise? It’s been ten years, but the game is coming back…how will it handle on modern consoles?

Pretty darn well. Burnout Paradise Remastered runs at 60 FPS on PS4 and XBox One and renders in 4K on any machine that supports that resolution. it will include all the DLC content produced for the game, with the exception of the Time Savers Pack (which unlocked every single car…no cheating for you this time).

“When people think of Criterion Games, they often remember the Burnout franchise and for good reason. What we created 10 years ago, we feel is still fun and unique to this day in the gaming industry,” said Matt Webster, General Manager at Criterion Games. “Burnout Paradise is an arcade racer built to provide players the thrill of racing with their friends, in a free form way that was both seamless and immersive, but also a little crazy with all the different stunts and crashes players could pull off. With the release of this remaster, we’re able to share this action-packed ride with a whole new generation of players.”

Look for Burnout Paradise Remastered on Playstation 4 and XBox One March 15, at a budget price of $40. It will also eventually be on PC — but EA is using it to lure people into its neglected Origin service by selling the PC version exclusively there. You won’t find it on Steam. As for the possibilities on Switch, EA says they have “nothing to announce.”
