Tired of the limited amount of tracks most car games give you? Ubisoft’s upcoming Trackmania Turbo may be just what you’re looking for. Announced today at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, Trackmania Turbo will come preloaded with a whopping 200 tracks, as well as versatile tools to create your own. Users will be allowed to get pretty adventurous — the tracks featured in the trailer get absolutely, death-defyingly insane at times. Ubisoft is even promising “VR functionality,” which may mean the game will be playable on Oculus Rift or Microsoft’s Hololens.
If you’re feeling lazy, you can make Trackmania Turbo generate a track for you by pushing one button. But from the demonstration, the results are less than satisfactory. The track the computer made during the show was rather short, and unexpected crashes took place (at one point the car leaped over a hill and hit an overhead sign, which probably wouldn’t happen with a track designed by a human). Maybe this part of the game will be refined by the time it’s released.
Speaking of that release date, Trackmania Turbo is scheduled to come out this November, on XBox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
