Rocket League’s XBox One Version Has Some Exclusive Additions

on

Rocket League was the surprise indie hit of 2015, and it was also a Playstation exclusive. Now that the initial contract has expired, the popular game of car soccer/futbol will be heading to the XBox One soon, and just so you know which version it is, it’ll come with a lot of exclusive items.

There will be cars in the game related to Microsoft’s franchises, like the Gears of War Armadillo and the Halo Hogsticker. You’ll also be able to collect items from Sunset Overdrive, such as a Fizzie antenna and an Overcharge rocket boost. “The Overcharge bubbles look and sound great,” said Insomniac Games creative director Marcus Smith. “When the booster is activated, you can hear the firing mechanism from the Ahab gun in Sunset. It’s so good! Hats off to our friends at Psyonix. They did a hell of a job.”

Right now Rocket League is scheduled to make its XBox One appearance sometime in February, though an exact launch date is still unknown. Psyonix has further plans for Rocket League in 2016 they’ve been hinting at, yet haven’t announced.
