Is it time for another project? A CARS-related project, that is? Looks so.
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Slightly Mad Studios have finally tacked a specific release date onto Project Cars 3…we’ll be getting the game before summer ends (but after most of it has passed). The Project CARS series was last seen in 2017 with the release of Project CARS 2 on PS4, XBox and PC.
Namco did not share many new details today aside from the release date. The newest statement from them covers what we know: the third game will contain more cars than the previous two, the Career Mode will return, and new customization and personalization options will be introduced.
The new racing game will feature all the authentic motorsport and racing content fans expect: the biggest car roster in the franchise’s history, new tracks (including venues such as the home of the Brazilian Grand Prix, Interlagos, and the roads of Tuscany), plus an exciting, fully-fledged career mode that will entice players on a driver’s journey from weekend warrior to racing legend. Also new to the franchise are authentic car upgrades, customisation and personalisation options for both cars and drivers, and improved assists to welcome newcomers into the thrilling world of motor racing at its most intense.
Project CARS 3 will be out August 28 for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC.
