Last week we reported that Psyonix’s car-soccer combat match game Rocket League was getting a physical release on all the platforms it was currently on. We pondered at the time if there would be any bonus reason to buy such a thing beyond having a solid physical copy. Today Psyonix released the details, and there indeed are extras.
The disc version of Rocket League will contain the main game plus all three previously released expansions: Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run. Psyonix also confirmed there would be extra, disc-exclusive content, but unfortunately they wouldn’t reveal what that was yet. However, it’s confirmed there will be some.
We also have a release window: they’re expecting the finished product to enter stores in the third quarter of 2016, so….you can expect Rocket League: The Disc sometime between July and September.
