What did Feral Interactive just do to the Nintendo Switch version of GRiD Autosport? What’s there now that wasn’t there yesterday?
GRiD Autosport is a racing sim with realistic recreations of real-world tracks like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was first sold on mobile devices and the PC, and it was introduced to the Switch last summer. At the tile of release, David Stephen, managing director at Feral Interactive, bragged “GRID Autosport‘s AAA production values and deep yet accessible gameplay will make it a fantastic addition to the Nintendo Switch. Following its success on iOS, we’re thrilled to bring it to Switch players.”
It was missing a few things, though. The latest update (which is free) adds the following extras:
- Online multiplayer for up to 8 players.
- Support for the Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit.
- Support for the HORI Pro Deluxe wheel and the HORI Pro Mini wheel.
To get this update, just do nothing. It will automatically download to any Switch that has GRiD Autosport installed. And if you don’t have it installed, GRiD Autosport is still available on the Switch eShop for $34.99.
