Gran Turismo Movie Debuting Next Week In Los Angeles
Sony’s feature film adaptation “Gran Turismo” is set to debut next week in Los Angeles at the Micheaux Film Festival (July 10-16, 2023) – a film festival held at the Culver Theater and Regal Cinemas, which honors filmmaker Oscar Micheaux, the trailblazing black filmmaker who created the first film company [Lincoln Motion Picture Company] owned by a black filmmaker. Most of Micheaux’s movies were made in the silent film era.
“Gran Turismo” tells the real-life story of Jann Mardenborough, who advances through the video game’s GT Academy to become part of a professional racing team. The movie stars David Harbour, Orlando Bloom and Djimon Hounsou, and is also expected to have a Q&A at the festival.
“Gran Turismo” is currently scheduled to be released worldwide on August 9, 2023.
