Free Forza Motorsport 5 Road America Track Available Today

on

Here’s a nice little Tuesday surprise for Forza fans. Road America, the first add-on track for Forza Motorsport 5, is out today on Xbox Live. The price? Free.

Road America, a storied track that’s been running since 1955 in Elkhart, Wisconsin,  has been in previous Forza games, but this version has a next-gen sheen thanks to the Xbox One.

Road America is integrated into the Forza experience, and will automatically be integrated into career events for the racing career, as well as event in Rivals Mode and the multiplayer lobbies.

If you’re a Forza 5 “Car Pass” holder, you’ll also get free access today to a Road America Booster Pack, which features five cars including the 2006 #2 Audi Sport North America R8, 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4, 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1, and the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series.

Turn 10 Studios also announced that Forza Motorsport 5 has been a huge sales success, with more than one in three Xbox One owners purchasing the game.  They’ve been playing the hell out of it, too, judging from these statistics:

“In-game, players have been busy, driving over 653 million road miles.  For a little context, that is the equivalent of circling the planet 49,223 times.  Players have also participated in over 94 million races, putting in a combined 8 million hours of total gameplay.  Even when players aren’t racing, their lifelike Drivatars have populated friends’ races and challenges, appearing in more than 1 billion races and solidifying the “Forza” universe as the racing hub for the Xbox world,” according to an Xbox press release.
