Rally racing is many things, but can it be called art? Indie game developer Funselektor seems to think so…what makes this new game worthy of being called “Art of Rally”?
The game’s actual name is “art of rally” with no caps, but for the sake of formatting, we altered it a bit. art of rally is a time warp of a racer, offering over fifty rally cars from the genre’s history and tracks spanning the last sixty years of time. There are over sixty to race on, in locations spanning the globe. There are options to tweak the stability, counter steer and anti-lock braking assist, and you can also choose between stick-shift or automatic. Leaderboards for daily and weekly challenges are included.
That’s all well and good. But if it were called art of rally and you couldn’t create art, that wouldn’t make sense. That’s why this game has a photo and replay mode that allows you to play back the best moments of your race, capture the best screens, and share them with friends. Magnifique!
