Need For Speed Heat Launches November 8
After sitting out 2018, Need For Speed is back! What’s happening in the newly announced Need For Speed Heat?
In the community of Palm City, you’ll be racing through downtown cityscapes and beautiful beaches while you try to dodge the law enforcement that’s unappreciative of your activities. By day, you’ll compete in a daytime competition called the Speedhunters Showdown, where you can earn cash to buy new cars and trick out the ones you already own. At night, you’ll race for Rep in an underground tournament.
Ghost Games is developing this one, which was to be expected as they developed the previous three Need For Speed games. However, the most recent of these, 2017’s Need For Speed Payback, received a lot of criticism, and fans will definitely be wondering if Ghost took any of that flak into consideration. Riley Cooper, Creative Director at Ghost, suggests they have:
“We’re delivering more options than ever before for players to be unique and make themselves known,” Cooper says. “Our fans have been clear that they want more cars, more customisation, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect. From your character’s style to your car’s performance and your driving style, we’re fuelling everyone’s creativity with this new game.”
Need For Speed Heat will launch November 8 for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC. Members of Origin Access Premier/Play First Trial will get access three days early.
