Wet Weather Full Course Coming To Gran Turismo Sport
Why might you need an umbrella soon when playing Gran Turismo Sport? Seems the game is finally getting its first full wet weather course.
In the new video released today, Williams Racing eSports competitor Coque Lopez demonstrates how much trickier a wet weather course can be. It’s the Red Bull Ring, slicking up GT Sport at an undisclosed time.
It’s unknown why it took this long for Gran Turismo Sport to receive a course that runs in the rain — it’s certainly not a technical problem, as Gran Turismos 5 and 6 featured a dynamic weather system back on the PS3.
There is no release date for the track mentioned in this video, but we imagine the time must be soon. Gran Turismo Sport is available now on Playstation 4.
In parallel to the development of its vehicle physics simulation, Gran Turismo has performed technical support for cars racing in the real life Nürburgring 24 hour race as well as the LMP1 class of the Le Mans 24 hour race. Gran Turismo Sport is equipped with the latest vehicle physics simulation that includes knowledge gained from both the real and the virtual. A physics simulation that is ‘easy to drive because it is realistic’ has been achieved.
