Remember all those top-down arcade racers like Super Sprint, Slicks ‘n’ Slide and Super Cars? Or if they were before your time, are you at least familiar with their existence? Then you might be interested in Total Arcade Racing, a new casual racer from (appropriately enough) CasualGames.nu, a Swedish games studio.
Team up with your friends and loop tightly around closed circuits, competing for the best time. Multiple modes enhance the experience including Arcade, Time Trial and Demolition Derby. Five cars and courses are currently available from the menu, with more to be added in the coming months. The game supports up to eight simultaneous players, and you can even have four people control the game from a single keyboard (though in the era of social distancing, we wouldn’t recommend it).

Total Arcade Racing is now available in Early Access form on Steam. Versions of the game are also in development for XBox One and Nintendo Switch.
