As you all know, Gran Turismo Sport was announced this week by Sony. The spinoff of the Gran Turismo series is expected to contain dozens of new tracks, cars, and crisp photorealistic PS4 visuals. One thing it won’t have, however, is an open beta….even though it was promised during the original reveal of the game.
Why were plans scrapped? As creator Kazunori Yamauchi explained in an interview, it’s so the November release date can be met. “It’s required that in order to do an open beta we have to create a proper master for it, and considering the release timing that we announced, we decided that we just don’t have enough time to do two gold masters for the game. By omitting that, it saves us about three months of time.”
November is better than February, right? Everyone will be able to take Gran Turismo Sport for a spin on November 15.
