Sunset Overdrive Not Planned For PC
We didn’t really expect Insomniac Games’ Sunset Overdrive, which is such a heavily Xbox One exclusive and promoted game that they might as well have put Master Chief in it, to show up on rival consoles like the PS4.
But we held out hope it might make it to the PC. After all, that happened with Ryse and Dead Rising 3.
But that hope is quashed, at least for a while.
“I don’t know what the future holds,” Insomniac’s community and marketing lead James Stevenson told Videogamer. “Right now there’s no plans for a PC version of the game. We’re just working hard to finish up [the Xbox One version]. We’re going to support it post-launch and then we’ll see what happens in the future. But there’s no plans. We aren’t planning a PC version or anything like that.”
On the bright side for PC gamers, however, he doesn’t rule out that those plans might develop later.
Sunset Overdrive is out Oct. 28 on Xbox One and only on Xbox One. There’s also a white Xbox One Sunset Overdrive Bundle releasing the same day for $399, if this is the game that convinces you to get an Xbox One.
