What’s coming to Rocket League next month? We’ve heard there’s new music, more flags, and….with the right equipment, improved graphics?
The biggest part of Psyonix’s new update is the addition of XBox One X support. If you have Microsoft’s beefy machine, Rocket League will now be rendered in the most advanced graphics available on a console, with 4K resolution at 60 frames a second and HGR support. Art Mada, graphics engineer at Psyonix, says “We worked very closely with Microsoft’s Advanced Technology Group to get the most out of the Xbox One X and they also gave us some incredible feedback on tuning our title for HDR. It was a blast working with them, so huge shout-out to our friends on the Xbox ATG team for all the help!”
The full list of features the December update adds is below:
- Enhanced Xbox One X Support – The game on Xbox One X can be displayed in native 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, complete with HDR (high dynamic range).
- Rocket League x Monstercat Vol. 5 – The fifth and final Monstercat playlist of the year will feature tracks from various Monstercat Instinct artists
- New Community Flags – Speedy, Extra Life, and additional Monstercat artist Flags
- Various Quality of Life Improvements
“Various Quality of Life Improvements” should be a great addition. Look for the update to hit December 3. Rocket League is available now for all modern consoles and the PC.
