PC gamers, who have gotten used to having the option to push their rigs farther and farther, were a bit shocked when a Ubisoft employee confirmed that 60 FPS was not officially supported in The Crew’s PC beta. It could be unlocked, but only by tinkering with files and risking performance problems.
A new report from Techgage, however, seems to confirm that a frame-rate slider has been added in the latest PC version of the game. Rob Williams writes that he had some recent hands-on time with the game and checked the options, which now include an “FPS Limit” option. Williams tried the game at 60 FPS and reported it ran smoothly.
Williams posted a screenshot as proof, which you can see below.
We’ve yet to see official confirmation of this from Ubisoft yet, but it would alleviate one concern about the game if true.
The Crew is out Nov. 11 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. There’s a console beta coming up at the end of this month.
