Trying to decide if you should get Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS for PC or if the PS4 version will be good enough? This video from PC Games Hardware might provide some answers.
It shows some comparisons of the game on both platforms. One way the PC version seems to be a big, immediate winner is by having more natural lighting. The PS4 version also seems to lack anisotropic texture filtering and have lower resolution textures, leading to some places where the console version looks noticeably more muddy such as the ground textures.
But it only pales by comparison. On its own the PS4 version looks quite good.
Project CARS will be out March 17 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It’s also coming to the Wii U and SteamOS some time in 2015.
