Project Cars, the new content-stuffed, track-filled, car-projected release from Slightly Mad Studios, was released on May 7th. It has been doing well for a racer in the international sales charts, but in Slightly Mad Studios’ native country of England, it’s performing excellently.
Below is the UK video game sales chart for last week, and as you can see, the racer busted expectations (and Grand Theft Auto).
- Project Cars
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Mortal Kombat X
- FIFA 15
- Dying Light
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
- Battlefield Hardline
- Minecraft: Xbox Edition
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- Destiny
Project Cars has now become the first auto-based video game to chart at number one in the past two years. It’s especially surprising that the game beat out Grand Theft Auto V, whose recent PC release has been boosting numbers in recent weeks. The UK sales monitor Chart-Track brought out these figures.
