PAX East: Ubisoft Shows Trials Fusion

on

If you can’t make it to PAX East to try out RedLynx’s upcoming Trials Fusion hands-on, you can still watch this bone-breaking trailer focusing on the game’s competitive modes. Ouch. A thousand times ouch.

Xavier Griffiths of gamrReview checked out Trials Fusion, and publisher Ubisoft’s booth featuring live BMX demonstrations, at the show.

“The wide variety of levels showed off Trials Fusion’s pretty visuals rather well. The lighting effects deserve special acclaim – some areas take place with the sun angled in the sky in such a way as to make bike and rider appear as silhouettes in the foreground. The urban space was especially intriguing to explore, with water fountains, concrete steps, and even tennis courts to somersault over or crash and burn into with bone shattering effect,” Griffiths wrote.

One thing that might put a damper on the enthusiasm is that Ubisoft also revealed during PAX East that the upcoming game will run at a lower resolution on Xbox One than on PS4. The admitted to VentureBeat that the game will be 1080p on PS4, but only 900p upscaled to 1080p on Xbox One. All versions of the game will run at 60 fps, however, RedLynx added.

The game is coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 April 16 and PC April 24.
