EA and Ghost Games have finally announced a release date for their upcoming game – “Need for Speed: Payback” – and it is November 10, 2017 [although, if you are privileged enough to have EA Access and Origin Access, you may try the game before launch for up to 10 hours starting Thursday, November 2nd].
At the time of the announcement, the game is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC [no Nintendo Switch, PS4 Pro or Xbox Scorpio].
The game will be set in the fictional Fortune Valley, and players will drive as three distinct characters – Tyler the Racer, Mac the Showman and Jess, the Wheelman – who are “reunited by a quest for vengeance against The House, a nefarious cartel that rules the city’s casinos, criminals and cops.”
EA is also offering the “Need for Speed: Payback” Platinum Car Pack, which gives instant access to four customized and tuned cars [and one truck] at launch, each with Platinum Blue Tire Smoke.
The Car Pack includes:
• 2008 Nissan 350Z
• 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS
• 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
• 2016 Ford F-150 Raptor
• 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport
In addition to the Platinum Car Pack, players also have the option to select the “Need for Speed: Payback” Deluxe Edition, which gives players up to three days of early access to the full game, along with exclusive customization items such as the Deluxe Edition license plate and NOS color and in-game discounts.
