The developers behind Forza Horizon 2 shared more details about the game at E3 yesterday, adding up to a seriously impressive racing game.
Some highlights for the Xbox One version developed by Playground Games include:
• A dynamic weather system with puddle generation and evaporation. Water beads on cars and affects handling on the tracks. Wipers cut through the computer modeled moisture.
• An open world three times larger than Forza Horizon, set in southern Europe.
• Engine based on Xbox One’s Forza 5.
• Drivatars are back. They learn your driving style to a “creepy” degree and keep driving for you and earning money when you’re not playing.
• 200 cars, 700 racing events, over 100 hours of content.
• Online clubs of up to 1,000 racers with custom livery are possible.
Not much detail was given about the Xbox 360 version, which is being handled by a separate developer, Sumo Digital.
Forza Horizon 2 looks like a game that might give Sony’s flagship Driveclub a serious race for its money when it launches Sept. 30 for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
