It Happened: GTA V Crossed Over To Real Life

They warned us if we played those TV vidya games too much, we would start to imitate everything we saw, and the world would collapse into anarchy, and it would be our faults. (Actually, it would the game’s fault — let’s not go crazy and start blaming actual people.)

Now it’s actually happening! ….well, in the context of people making YouTube videos.

This live-action recreation of GTA V’s gameplay is uncannily accurate. YouTube channel Corridor Digital gives us this reenactment of the game that uses real Los Angeles locations to make you think you’re watching the most high-end PC renditions of GTA V possible. The only hiccup is when special effects need to be used — these weren’t million-dollar budgets and supercomputers they were working with. But otherwise, good job all around!
