Sony Interactive Entertainment has lifted the cover off Gran Turismo Sport, with a release date, description of content, and the first trailer. Let’s get into it…
GT Sport is the world’s first racing experience to be built from the ground up to bring global, online competitions sanctioned by the highest governing body of international motorsports, the FIA (Federation International Automobile). Create your legacy as you represent and compete for your home country or favorite manufacturer through multiple race classes, including GT3, Prototype, Rally, and more.
Do the usual gimmicks apply? You bet! There are special preorder DLC incentives, a “limited edition” release with extra padding, and everything else the game industry does now to shake out an extra buck. Preordering the game anywhere gets you an additional three-car pack containing the following:
- Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car
- Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3
- Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1
The Limited Edition release comes in Steelbook packaging and grants these additional things:
- GT Sport Starter Pack (8x Cars) – Gain immediate access to cars within various race class, including GT4, Rally, and more
- $1MM In-Game Credit – Build and customize your personalized garage
- Livery Sticker Pack – Bonus livery of numerous brands and logos
- 30x PS4 GT Sport Themed Avatars – Based on selected GT Sport featured vehicles
- Racing Helmet – For your customized driver profile
- Limited Edition Steel Book and Packaging
There are more preorder incentives, but you won’t be happy about this next part — they’re all exclusive to various merchants. Gamestop will give you the Chevrolet Corvette Group 3 and the Nissan NISMO GT-R GT3 N24, a direct order from the PlayStation Store grants you avatars, a dynamic theme and a $500,000 In-Game Credit, and an Amazon preorder just gets you the $500,000 In-Game Credit. Can’t have them all at once.
Gran Turismo Sport comes to American PS4s on November 15. Now for that trailer….
