Forza 6 is the latest in the line of XBox One games to get its own custom XBox One console. It’s the tenth anniversary of the Forza franchise, and Microsoft wants everybody to know. Thus the special paint job.
The Forza 6 XBox One is completely dark blue in color and so is its controller. It’s got a couple of racing stripes added to its left side, emblazoned with the Forza logo. There are other reasons to consider it besides fashion sense; this will be one of the new Xbox Ones that has a 1 TB hard drive. The controller is also a bit different, sporting what Microsoft refers to as “customized diamond grips.”
There’s one more difference: Microsoft is promising “custom automotive sound effects” coming from this console. They don’t go into specifics beyond that, so it either roars like an engine all the time or honks at you when you lose.
You’ll also get Forza 6, but as a digital download. The whole package will cost $399 the standard price for a 1TB XBox One model, when it goes on sale September 15, 2015 alongside Forza 6.
