The rumors are true. The upgraded versions of Grand Theft Auto V coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC will feature a first-person mode.
Rockstar released a trailer that shows just how much this new mode transforms the game. It puts you right in the eyes of Michael, Franklin and Trevor as they drive cars, fly planes and get in shootouts.
The immersion is impressive in all of the modes, but shooting seems to be most improved. I can see myself slipping into it during shootouts even if I didn’t use it all the time. Rockstar says you can switch at the touch of a button. They’ve also added new control schemes and animations to make the first person modes seem natural.
Also, the FPS mode is apparently not coming to the old versions. Rockstar says this is exclusive to the new ports.
GTA V is coming to PS4 and Xbox One Nov. 18 and PC Jan. 27.
