Microsoft is introducing a new and improved version of the XBox One console this fall, branded the XBox One X. That’s a lot of Xes.
It’s not a new console in the traditional sense — more like an upgrade. All your XBox One games will play on the XOX and all new games compatible with the XOX will also work on the original model. There will be no exclusive XBox One X games. The important thing is, it’s launching with a new Forza Motorsport.
Turn 10 Studios unveiled their latest Forza today during Microsoft’s E3 press conference. It’ll actually come out about a month before the XBox One X, but will take full advantage of the extra power once the new model is available. On the XOX, Forza Motorsport 7 runs at a smooth 60FPS in 4K resolution. And since cars usually look the nicest on new hardware, Forza 7’s graphics look as stunning as the series has ever appeared.
