Anki Overdrive has announced that they will officially launch in September 2015 in the USA, UK, Canada and Germany. The game, an updated version of the old slot car tracks of yore, have characters that you can assign to the six cars in the game – nicknamed Big Bang, GroundShock, Guardian, Nuke, Skull and Thermo. Skull and GroundShock are included in the Anki Overdrive starter kit [$150], and the other four cars will cost $50 apiece when purchased separately. Additional track sections are slated to cost between $10-$30 depending on the track pack sections selected.
Also announced were two additional game modes – Time Trial and King of the Hill.
