My method for picking Mario Kart 8 characters is simple. I’ve had a crush on Princess Peach since I was 10 and also I want to see her drive a motorcycle, but sometimes I pick others at random because people get tired of me always choosing that. I admit it’s not that scientific.

The app helps you pick the right Kart combo for your driving skills by having you tell it how important stats like speed, handling, and acceleration are to you. It may seem like overkill, because it’s probably overkill. But it’s a fun tool for the serious racer and if it cuts down your lap times, it’s definitely worth the price of free.

No word yet on an iOS version, although the app’s maker Robledo told Kotaku that he might create an iOS port if there is enough demand.
