Watch The MXGP Feature Trailer
What’s in the newly announced MXGP 2019, and when can we expect it? Developer Milestone provided the answers today as they revealed this year’s MXGP and the features within.
MXGP 2019 will contain all the riders, bikes and teams of the real-world 2019 season. You can join an official team or create a custom team and sign with a sponsor. Compete in the MX2 category or directly in the MXGP top class.
The long-overdue Track Editor is now a feature, with multiple modules and four specific environments to choose from (forest, beach, desert and jungle). You’ll be able to share your tracks online with the community, and race against others on them as well.
And yes, we will be getting the Playground again — a free-roaming area where you can mess around and perfect your skills. This version will contain new areas and game modes — Milestone will reveal most of them later, but as a taste, they’ve revealed one: the Waypoint mode. Using this mode you can design your own off-road path with checkpoints, then challenge the community to record their best time.
Finally, expect the usual bucketload of bike and rider customization options. “[There will be] many licensed accessories that players can unlock. Bikes can be customised both aesthetically and mechanically, to race in players’ own styles and allow them to always find the best feeling ride,” says Milestone.
The only thing left to reveal is the release date…..MXGP 2019 will be out August 27 on Playstation 4, XBox One and PC via Steam.
