MotoGP 19 Announced For This June
Publisher Milestone and developer Dorna Sports SI have revealed this year’s MotoGP title, MotoGP 19, and what it’ll bring to the series. The biggest addition? Neural network AI!
To provide the community with the hardest level of challenge, it was necessary to introduce a new paradigm, a revolution. Milestone and Orobix – a company specialising in engineering Artificial Intelligence solutions -worked for more than 2 yearson a revolutionary AI system based on Neural Networks. The result? An AI incredibly fast on the track, with extremely realistic behaviours.
It won’t just be the bot racers that perform better. With new dedicated servers, Dorna is determined to eliminate all lag. The multiplayer will sport a new “Race Director Mode” to give online challenges more variety. MotoGP 19 also promises the most customizable cars and drivers yet, with a selection of accessories, brands and patches dwarfing any other title in the series.
Other offerings are a mix of old and new. Historical Challenges has returned, and the new FIM Enel MotoE World Cup will make its debut (this one uses zero-emissions motorbikes). Milestone can also confirm there will be another MotoGP eSport Championship: “…Players will come from all over the world, with the challenge to win the World Champion title. The third edition of the MotoGP™ eSport Championship will have a renewed formula, to make it even more spectacular and competitive; more information will be revealed later this year.”
When can you expect it? MotoGP 19 is targeted for a June 6, 2019 release on Playstation 4, XBox One and PC. The Switch version will arrive a few weeks later.
