Burnout Developer Announces Two New Games
What’s coming next from the creators of Burnout? Unfortunately not another Burnout, but their new projects are intended to be inspired by the series. How close are they?
Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward founded Three Fields Entertainment to independently make their own racing games. They took the lessons learned from Burnout and created Danger Zone, a virtual crash testing facility inspired by Burnout’s Crash Mode. The game was a success, so they’ve now announced Danger Zone 2.
The game includes 26 single-player levels and 17 locations set throughout the United States, England and Spain. “Danger Zone 2 is a significant step up from the first game with lots more driving including drifting and boosting, a variety of objectives, brand new vehicles and even more spectacular crashes,” says Sperry.
Three Fields actually announced TWO games today. Their second, Dangerous Driving, is what it says on the label: an arcade racer where recklessness is encouraged and rewarded. Dangerous Driving includes “boosts, takedowns, destruction and the biggest car crashes seen in a racing game to date.”
Danger Zone 2 will be out next month for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC, while Dangerous Driving won’t be finished until this winter.
