WRC 9 Welcomes Back Rally Japan
What has Kylotonn revealed so far about WRC 9? What new tracks and locations can we expect?
Their latest reveal isn’t “new” in the sense that it hasn’t appeared in the series before, but it’s a track that hasn’t been used in the series for nine years, so it’s new enough to you. For the first time since 2011, Rally Japan is back.”Players can enjoy the thrilling mountains and forests [as well as] master the demanding course with its narrow asphalt roads and aggressive corners, while also navigating the lush environment which affects the driver’s visibility,” says Kylotonn. Rally Japan will be the finale track for the real WRC race this year.
When WRC 9 comes out this September, it’ll be available in both regular and Deluxe flavors. The Deluxe edition includes the base game and a three-month subscription to WRC +, the streaming platform that broadcasts the actual WRC race the video game is based around. Readers with good memories may recall NACON and KT Racing offering a similar bonus last year. The Digital Deluxe Edition also has 48 hours’ advance access to the game, and three DLC downloads. If you don’t care about any of that, but you still want to preorder, you’ll still get something exclusive: a bonus car, the Audo Quattro A2.
WRC 9 is now racing toward a September 3 release on Playstation 4, XBox One and PC. A Switch release as well as PS5 and XBox Series X releases are planned for the future.
