What You Get From Preordering WRC 8
Preorders are now open for Bigben Interactive’s WRC 8. What are the reasons to take advantage? What has Bigben done to make it worth your while?
For starters, anyone who preorders the game — no matter which version they pick — will get the RWD Legends pack, which includes legendary cars from bygone eras: the Lancia 037, the last rear-wheel drive car to win the World Rally Championship; and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT, a powerful monster of a rally car. Anyone who preorders any Nintendo Switch version will get a WRC 8-themed sleeve for their console (at selected retailers; check with yours).
Two special editions are also being offered, Digital Deluxe and Physical Collectors Edition. Digital Deluxe gets you access to the game two days early, extra crew members to add to your staff in Career mode, and the Legendary Cars pack, which includes includes three legendary WRC cars from the 70s, 80s and 90s: the Alpine A110, Ford Escort RS and Lancia Delta HF Integrale. The Collectors Edition has all those things plus a limited-edition Steelbook and a three-month subscription to the WRC+ All Live TV service so you can watch the real thing.
Developer Kylotonn used feedback from the eSports tournament, as well as comments from the community, to refine and improve this installment of World Rally Championship. WRC 8 will boast improved graphics, smoother pace notes, refined steering controls, a more in-depth career mode, and more.
WRC 8 will use the actual drivers from the real-world 2019 World Rally Championship, including six-time world champion Sébastien Ogier from Citroën Racing, Jari-Matti Latvala, Kris Meeke, and Ott Tänak. Racing legend Sébastien Loeb has also returned to the track, and he will be playable in the game too.
Over 100 special stages will be packed into WRC 8, spanning 14 countries from across the globe. The new dynamic weather system adds unexpected twists to the turns, but you’ll have the ability to upgrade your car with options like a modified grip, car settings adjustments, and tire selection optimization. Being prepared for what Nature throws at you could mean the difference between victory and an eighth place finish.
WRC 8 launches September 5 for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, XBox One and PC.
