Truck Racing Championship Rolls Out This July
Most racing games have the player taking control of sleek, fancy vehicles capable of blinding speed, but you’ll find a different experience in Truck Racing Championship, just announced by publisher Bigben and developer Maximum Games for a summer release.
“Taming an overpowered, 5-ton monster is entirely different than driving a race car or a motorcycle,” states the press release from Bigben. It’s an unprecedented challenge that will require some racing game expertise.” A typical race consists of 12 trucks on a circuit, facing off in four sprints of 45 km each. When dealing with heavier, longer vehicles, a whole different strategy has to be learned to master the physics working against you. You’ve also got 200 liters of water that you must manage carefully to avoid overheating your engine and keep your brakes cool.
The game is based on a real event, the FIA European Truck Racing Championship, which is held every year and uses famous circuits like Le Mans, the Nürbürgring, Misano and the Hungaroring. Watch for Truck Racing Championship, making the long haul your way this July on Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, XBox One and PC.
