The Legendary Cars Of WRC 8
Which famous cars from WRC’s history will be part of the collection in WRC 8? Today Bigben Interactive and Kylotonn revealed the Lineup of Legendaries in a new trailer. The full list is below….
– Six legendary rally cars that made WRC history as being part of a Manufacturer’s World Rally Championship winning campaign:
*Alpine A110 1973 Champions
*Lancia Stratos 1974/1975/1976 Champions
*Ford Escort MkII RS1800 1979 Champions
*Lancia 037 1983 Champions
*Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evolution 1988/1989/1990/1991/1992 Champions
*VW Polo R WRC 2013/2014/2015/2016 Champions
– Three iconic rally cars that are great examples of the rich variety of cars that are driven in the WRC:
*Lancia Fulvia HF 1972 International Makes’ Champions (precursor of WRC)
*Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT (997) Iconic Rally GT car
*Proton Iriz R5 First drive of the WRC 2’s newest homologated rally car
All these cars will be available in all game modes, and will be driveable on release day — though that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll all be free. The Lancia 037 and Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT are preorder bonuses, and the Alpine A110 1973, Ford Escort MKll 1800 and Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione are day-one DLC.
Of the nine cars listed, seven of them played a major role in WRC, collectively racking up over 150 wins. As for the other two, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997) is a leading competitor in the RG-T class…and as for the Proton Iriz R5, its “legendary” status is debatable as it hasn’t even been introduced yet. It will make its debut at next year’s WRC.
WEC 8 comes out for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC on September 5 (tomorrow), and for Nintendo Switch this November.
