New Video Exposes WRC 8’s Career Mode
What’s the most popular mode in the WRC series (at least according to developer Kylotonn and publisher Bigben)? It’s the Career Mode, and this new video from the team showcases all the improvements they’ve made for WRC 8.
Playing through a career in WRC 8 will be the most involved experience yet, as for the first time the series will allow players to become a driver for a WRC team. With that comes all the responsibilities and requirements to reach the top:
- Planning the calendar to decide which events to do in between rallies: training, manufacturer challenges, rest, classic events, etc.
- Managing a whole crew comprising six different and interconnected job roles. Players must consider each of their unique characteristics and use them strategically in each rally.
- Upgrading the crew through R&D and a skill tree, which evolves depending on player choices. Every decision has an impact on progression and on the morale of the crew (performance, reliability, etc.).
You’ll receive stats at the end of each rally that will help you measure yourself up to the competition and refine your racing skills to best them. More is explained in the WRC 8 Career Mode video below. WRC 8 will be released this September for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, XBox One and PC.
