Need For Speed Heat: Gamescom Gameplay Trailer
Thanks to Gamescom, we’ve got a new gameplay trailer for Need For Speed Heat! How’s it look?
The tropical Palm City looks lovely in both day and night, and the game will alternate between the two (meaning there is not a specific timed day/night cycle). By day, you’ll compete in a daytime competition called the Speedhunters Showdown, where you can earn cash to buy new cars and trick out the ones you already own. At night, you’ll race for Rep in an underground tournament, blazing through downtown cityscapes and beautiful beaches while you try to dodge the law enforcement that’s unappreciative of your activities.
Today we learned there will be a mobile app companion, called NFS Heat Studio! Its purpose is to let you you to collect, unlock, and customize cars on the go — and then use designs in the actual console game. Even though Need For Speed Heat won’t be available until November, the app is out now on iOS and Android.
“We’re delivering more options than ever before for players to be unique and make themselves known,” says Riley Cooper, Creative Director at developer Ghost Games. “Our fans have been clear that they want more cars, more customisation, and more challenges, and we’re tuning up on every aspect. From your character’s style to your car’s performance and your driving style, we’re fuelling everyone’s creativity with this new game.”
Need For Speed Heat will launch November 8 for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC. Members of Origin Access Premier/Play First Trial will get access three days early.
