MotoGP 19 Reveals Historical Challenges Mode

on

When MotoGP 19 launches this June, what new modes will be awaiting players? What’s the new gimmick behind Historical Challenges Mode?

Milestone’s latest mode puts you into some of the most interesting races from the past few decades of real-life MotoGP. You’ll have 50 legendary riders, 34 official bikes and three historical tracks to use (in addition to the 19 tracks from this current season). And you can replay famous races like these:

Valentino’s Ninth Gem
The final race in the 2004 MotoGP season promises to be hard-fought: the top 13 in qualifying are within less than a second of each other. The 122,000 spectators in the stands have plenty to enjoy because Makoto Tamada immediately goes for the breakaway: after 2 laps he already has a 1 second margin. Although 3rd in practice, Valentino starts badly, standing 6th at the end of the first lap. But then, with his trademark sneakiness, he passes his rivals, including Biaggi, taking the lead. Despite there being 15 laps to go, he’s gone: 9 GPs won on his debut with Yamaha, incredible.

Gibernau, King of France
Valentino Rossi has had to compete with the Spanish riders for much of his MotoGP career. The first in the series was Sete Gibernau, who was his best in the two-year period between 2003-2004 on a Honda. His speciality was a dazzling start to the season, and the track where he did his best was Le Mans. At the 2003 France GP the duel with Rossi is set after the red flag for rain: in the last 7 laps Sete and Valentino continuously pass each other. A dramatic last lap with two passes each. The last move comes from Gibernau, who triumphs by only 0.165 seconds.

Will these races turn out differently, or the same? Depends on your own skills.

There is more news: previously, we knew when MotoGP 19 would come out for Playstation 4 and XBox One (June 6) but not when it would arrive for Switch. Milestone now has a date for everyone: June 27, not too much longer. Whatever the console, you can expect to be playing MotoGP 19 in the month of June.
