Sega announced that they will be making their kart racing game “sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed” free for Android and iOS platforms beginning today. If you previously purchased the game, you will receive a $4.99 “VIP Pass” which will unlock four playable characters [including Sonic] and the version of the game will be ad-free [lucky bastards].

In addition, “Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed” will receive two more unlockable characters – Metal Sonic and Wreck-It Ralph – two new tracks [Galactic Parade and Outrun Bay] and two new modes [Boss Cup Challenge and World Tour] as mobile-only exclusives on April 29, 2014.
